This is the video for our new single " Red Moon Sky" This is the first release for Face of Stone and the first to feature singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Brad Schecter. This is the first release from our upcoming EP
Here is some footage from the early days before Face of Stone. This is the previous incarnation of my band called The Marc Palmer Trio back from 2009 at the House of Blues. The Drummer is a good friend of mine and is now the acting drummer for Face of Stone. He is also a big promoter in the L.A.area. His name is T-Roy and he kills the shit out of those drums. The Bass player is a guy named Avi from Russia. T Roy hired him and we wrote the songs, rehearsed and put this gig together in just 2 weeks!
This is T Roy's drum solo at the end of our song called "Screwed". I wish we had the whole song. If I dig up more footage I will post it.
This song was a first for me on many, many levels. Its the first song I ever wrote. And the funny part is, its still not done. Its just 2 sections one verse, a solo and that's it. But, It was this song that got me this opportunity to play at the House of Blues and also got me into The Busboys. From this one song below it has opened doors for me to tour the country with Grammy nominated musicians and tour with musical legends for 12 years and counting. If I could pass on one thing its this... NEVER UNDERESTIMATE what the power of one of your songs can do. You never know who may hear it and what doors may open up because of it.
This is me with The Busboys on a week long engagement in Florida. It was 2-90 min shows per day for a week. We were pretty burnt by the end but boy did the band sound tight together.
This is actually one of the few hometown shows we got to do as we were always on the road. Here we are in Manhattan Beach CA and my girlfriends bestie filmed us doing our signature song.
This show was a promotional gig we did at the World Famous Whiskey A go-go in West Hollywood, CA. This gig was on a Tue 3/7/17. The Dodger Stadium gig was 3/11/17. We had a film crew come down from the news to film a short to help us promote it. It was for the Susan G. Komer Cancer Foundation. As a cancer survivor myself, I was honored to take part.
This is the news short that was filmed backstage at the Whiskey. I thought it was the coolest thing for the news crew to come down to film us. It was just 2 people: A director and a cameraman. We shot it in one take and then went back to doing what we do before a gig. It was really funny to have friends say the saw me on the news and it wasn't for anything bad LOL.
This was a lot of work and a lot of fun to do. This was a medley of all the Busboys and movie songs from the Great Otis Day. We filmed this in Metropolis Illinois and we flew into Kentucky. It was one of the first gigs I remember where they layed it all out for us. We had a really nice driver pick us up at the airport and drove us across the Ohio river into Illinois. It was a great journey to see a part of America I don't see often. We came ,we saw, we filmed and we played. We worked our asses off and had a great time doing it. Enjoy!
